Open recruitment is conducted annually, providing an opportunity for all postgraduate students to apply and become members. The leader of the organization is selected through a voting process, ensuring that all members have a voice in choosing their representative. VISION:
“Realizing the UGM Postgraduate Student Association that upholds the principle of INOVATION COLLABORATION, as a forum for strengthening internal synergy, capacity development of UGM Postgraduate students, and a strategic role in the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.”
MISSION:
- Facilitate the development of multidisciplinary research and innovation through training programs, interdisciplinary collaboration forums, and scientific studies to discuss the latest global issues to create innovative solutions
- Carrying out Leadership Development Program (LDP), Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev), and Outdoor Experiential Learning (OEL) activities for internal managers
- Forming Network and Collaboration by building strategic partnerships with other universities, research institutions, professional organizations, and industrial sectors
- Implement the Community Service Program (CSP) to provide a real and sustainable impact to the community.
- Building an Inclusive and Dynamic Postgraduate Student Community that supports collaboration, active involvement, and master and doctoral inclusiveness to encourage a productive academic culture.
- Advocating student aspirations as Policy Input Compiling research-based recommendations to support relevant policies in solving national and global issues.
- Organizing Postgraduate Teaching activities in the internal environment of Gadjah Mada University in the context of the sustainability of knowledge that brings benefits.
- Providing responsive synergy to actual situations that occur both with Postgraduate students

HIMPUNAN MAHASISWA PASCASARJANA TEKNOLOGI PERTANIAN UGM (UGM Postgradute Student Assiciation of Agricultural Technology)
HMP FTP UGM (Himpunan Mahasiswa Pascasarjana Fakultas Teknologi Pertanian Universitas Gadjah Mada) is the student association representing all postgraduate students enrolled in the Master’s and Doctoral programs at the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, UGM. Established in 2014, its mission is to foster a sense of community, enhance professionalism and leadership, improve both technical and non-technical skills, and advance the scientific competencies of its members, all while supporting the Three Pillars of Higher Education. To date, the HMP FTP UGM has undergone five leadership transitions.

Activity:
- Welcoming Student: a welcoming event for new students that introduces them to the HMP FTP UGM organization, its mission, and activities. This event is held regularly at the beginning of each new semester to help new students feel integrated and informed about their academic and social environment.
- Upgrading Event: a gathering of active HMP FTP UGM members designed to develop leadership skills, enhance teamwork, and build character. This event strengthens the organization’s core values and fosters a collaborative spirit among its members.
- Group Discussion: regularly organized sessions to support students in preparing for midterm and final semester examinations. These discussions provide a platform for sharing knowledge, solving problems collaboratively, and enhancing academic performance
- Information Sharing: dissemination of insights and updates related to Agro and Food Technology through FTP UGM’s social media channels.
- Physical Exercise Activities: organized sports activities, such as badminton and futsal, aimed at promoting physical health, teamwork, and relaxation among students.
- Graduation Celebrations: a special event held to honor and celebrate the achievements of graduating students, fostering a sense of accomplishment and camaraderie
- Field Trips: educational and recreational trips conducted routinely, at least once a year, to provide exposure and hands-on learning opportunities related to agricultural and food technology
- Journal Writing Seminars: Workshops and seminars focus on improving research and academic skills, with an emphasis on journal publications. These sessions aim to support students in contributing to scientific literature
- Musyawarah Besar: A formal assembly or meeting held to discuss and decide on key organizational matters, ensuring the smooth functioning and governance of HMP FTP UGM
