Double Degree Prince of Songkla University (PSU) – Academic Year 2026/2027

The Master’s Programme in Food Science and Technology (MFST), Universitas Gadjah Mada, offers students the opportunity to join a Double Degree Programme in collaboration with Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Thailand. Through this programme, students can pursue coursework and research at both universities and earn two academic degrees, one from UGM and one from PSU.

Programme Structure
  • Study Duration: 2 semesters at UGM and 2 semesters at PSU.
  • Study at PSU: One year of coursework and research at Prince of Songkla University.
  • Academic Degrees: Students earn two degrees, awarded by UGM and PSU.
  • Tuition Fee Waiver at UGM: Students are exempt from paying UGM tuition fees during their study period at PSU.
Financial Support Students participating in the programme receive financial support covering:

  • Travel expenses (airfare assistance)
  • Tuition fees
  • Enrollment fees
  • Accommodation provided by PSU
Requirements Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • An active student of the Master’s Programme in Food Science and Technology at UGM.
  • Have a minimum TOEFL score of 500.
  • Have a minimum Academic Potential Test (TPA) score of 500.
  • Submit a research proposal focusing on “Nutrition and Functional Foods.”
Available Master’s Programmes at PSU Students may pursue their studies in one of the following programmes offered by the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Prince of Songkla University:

  1. Master Program in Food Science and Technology
  2. Master Program in Food Technology and Innovation
  3. Master Program in Functional Food and Nutrition
  4. Master Program in Food Packaging Technology
  5. Master Program in Biotechnology
