A total of 16 graduates from the Master in Food Science and Technology (MFST) Study Program participated in the Graduation Ceremony for Graduate Program Period I Academic Year 2025/2026, which was held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Kamarijani-Soenjoto Auditorium, Faculty of Agricultural Technology (FAT), UGM. This ceremony marked a memorable milestone for all 37 postgraduate graduates of FAT UGM, including those from the MFST program who completed their studies with outstanding academic achievements. Among the 16 MFST graduates, 8 received the cum laude honors.
Outstanding academic achievements also highlighted this graduation ceremony. The highest GPA among MFST graduates was achieved by Atharida Salma Nafisa, S.Pi., M.Sc., with a GPA of 3.94, followed by Ranto Jambi Muhammad Subekti, S.Si., M.Sc., with the shortest study period of 1 year, 10 months, and 5 days. Meanwhile, Adelia Maharani Bramadita, S.T.P., M.Sc., was recorded as the youngest graduate at the age of 23 years, 3 months, and 25 days at the time of graduation.
In her speech, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology UGM, Prof. Dr. Ir. Eni Harmayani, M.Sc., encouraged the graduates to use the knowledge gained during their studies as intellectual capital to create future innovations. “Stay low profile but highly competent, keep learning and adapting. Congratulations on entering a new chapter,” she said.
The representative of the FAT graduates expressed gratitude to all parties who had supported them throughout their academic journey. He emphasized the importance of dedication and social responsibility for FAT UGM alumni in addressing global challenges such as food security, climate change, and industrial sustainability. He also highlighted that pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree is not merely an academic achievement but also a spiritual and human journey that teaches patience, integrity, and commitment. Graduates now carry a new responsibility to apply their knowledge and research for the benefit of society and the advancement of the nation.
The graduation ceremony ended with a prayer session and a congratulatory handshake between the graduates and the faculty leaders and lecturers, symbolizing respect and appreciation for their academic accomplishments. The heartfelt and proud atmosphere made the moment truly memorable for all attendees.
Through this event, the MFST remains committed to advancing Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education by producing competent, ethical, and socially responsible graduates ready to contribute to sustainable development in the food sector.
